What national parks are in Northern California?

I just moved to Sacramento for a job a few months ago. While I love the city so far, I’m itching to enjoy some outdoor time. I’d like to visit a national park, but I have no idea if there are any in Northern California. What are the national parks located in Northern California?

Congrats on the new job! While
Sacramento
is a great city, the surrounding wilderness of Northern
California
is known throughout the country. It’s home to three national parks and two that are arguably in Northern California, depending on who you ask. The national parks located in Northern California include:
  • Yosemite National Park
  • Lassen Volcanic National Park
  • Redwood National Park
  • Kings Canyon National Park (more central than north)
  • Sequoia National Park (more central than north)
Like any other national parks, these national parks offer hiking, wildlife viewing, rock climbing, and scenic drives.
Because most of these parks are in somewhat remote areas, adding
towing and labor coverage
can come in clutch. It acts like roadside assistance, giving you support if you run out of gas, get a flat tire, or your car dies. To get the best rate, use the
