What national parks are in Michigan?

My wife wants to visit Michigan to go to a Red Wings game. While we’re there, I’d like to see a national park if possible and get some outdoor time. What are the national parks located in Michigan?

Seeing the Red Wings in
Detroit
is an experience all on its own, but add in some natural
Michigan
beauty, and you’ll have a truly awesome trip ahead of you. Isle Royale National Park is the only national park in Michigan, but it’s an interesting destination.
Located north of the Upper Peninsula near the Canadian border but in the middle of Lake Superior, Isle Royale is a unique island experience. Here are some of the best things to do in Isle Royale:
  • Since you have to take a ferry to get there, snap photos, grab a drink, and soak in the view.
  • Tour one of the three lighthouses on the island.
  • Try to spot a moose, beaver, otter, or wolf.
  • Grab a kayak, canoe, or raft and head out on the water.
Although you can’t drive on Isle Royale, getting there requires you to drive fairly far north. Use the
