What national parks are dogs allowed in?
My family and I are road-tripping this summer to visit as many national parks as we can, and we’ll have our dog with us. Which parks allow us to bring our fur baby inside?

It sounds like you and your family are in for a fun summer! The answer to your question is easy—all of them! Keep in mind that pets aren’t allowed everywhere in every park, but each park allows at least some access for your furry friend. The National Parks Service runs a program that lets your pet become a B.A.R.K. Ranger! The purpose of the B.A.R.K. program is to increase awareness of good pet behaviors in the park, like keeping your dog (or cat) on a leash, picking up after your pet, and knowing when and where your pet is allowed.
B.A.R.K Volunteer Rangers do the following:
- Provide visitors with information about the park
