Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is over 1.5 million acres and is home to a wide range of scenery. You’ll find uplands, wetlands, streams, rivers, pine savannas, meadows, and glacial lakes.
You can explore the trails by foot, bike, or ATV in the summer months and check out the lakes for fishing, swimming, or kayaking.
And in the winter months, throw on your snowshoes and trek around. There are also dozens of campsites throughout the forest if you’re looking to spend a few days in the wilderness.
