—along with the other models in this series—takes premium gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher. It is one of the few models that BMW requires to use premium gasoline rather than simply recommending it.Premium gasoline usually has additional additives and is better balanced when compared to standard gasoline—and the higher octane rating corresponds to the BMW 335i’s higher performance engine.
