“If you’re looking to add an emergency kit to your vehicle, you should consider looking into premade kits. Many automotive companies, like

, make their own kits. Stores that specialize in outdoor or sports equipment are also a great place to look for kits. If you’re looking to make your own, you’ll want some basic items to start. This includes:
- Flashlights and batteries
- Triangle reflectors or LED flares
- Blankets
- Took kit
- First aid kit
- Water
- Jumper cables
- Spare tire
After you’ve collected these items, you can start looking into more specialized items. If you live in cold weather, an ice scraper or extra washer fluid may be important. Having granola bars or non-perishable food will also help in an emergency.
In addition to a good emergency kit, you should consider a roadside assistance plan or membership. It can provide extra protection in case of an emergency.”
