What is Toyota Dynamic Radar Cruise Control?

What does the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control feature do in a Toyota? My parents recently gave me a car and I’m not sure how to use everything in it yet.

Congratulations on your new car!
Toyota
’s Dynamic Radar Cruise Control uses radar from behind the Toyota badge and a camera on the windshield to adjust your cruising speed according to your environment. This type of cruise control automatically speeds up and slows down to keep your car a preset distance away from the car in front of you, so you won’t have to worry as much about changes in the traffic pattern.
Of course, using an advanced cruise control like Toyota’s Dynamic Radar Cruise Control still isn’t the same as a self-driving car, so you’ll still need to pay attention to traffic changes when using this feature. It’s just a helpful tool for highway driving!
