What is the warranty on a 2017 Volkswagen Passat?
I purchased a brand new Volkswagen Passat in 2017 from the dealer, but I can’t seem to find information regarding my warranty. What’s the warranty for a Passat?

Volkswagen Passat
came with the following factory warranty:- Basic (bumper-to-bumper) warranty: 3 years or 36,000 miles
- Corrosion perforation warranty: 12 years and unlimited miles
- Powertrain warranty: 5 years or 60,000 miles
- Roadside assistance coverage: 3 years or 36,000 miles
In short, your Passat’s corrosion perforation warranty is most definitely still valid, and the powertrain warranty may still be in effect, as well—depending on exactly when you purchased your vehicle and how many miles are currently on it.
Of course, if you purchased one of Volkswagen’s extended warranties, it could still be completely valid. Ultimately, the best way to find out is to call your dealership or bring your car into their automotive maintenance shop.
