It’s true! The
Toyota Prius
warranty includes a three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, as well as an eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty.Let’s break that down.
- The basic warranty covers repairs needed due to workmanship defects. It’s good for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- The powertrain warranty covers the transmission, engine, drive system and more and is good for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- The hybrid battery warranty covers the battery, battery control module, and more, and is good for eight years or 100,000 miles. 2020 and newer models are protected for 10 years or 150,000 miles.
