What is the Toyota Camry’s top trim level?
I’m thinking about buying a Toyota Camry. I had one back in the 1990’s and loved it, but I’ve been with Honda and Kia since. What’s the Toyota Camry’s top trim level and what do you get out of it? Is it worth the money?

The current 2023
Toyota Camry
has 13 trim levels, and three shockingly powerful V6 engines under the bonnet. And the Toyota Camry’s top trim level, the Camry XSE V6, is built on this impressive performance-oriented powertrain.When you think of the Toyota Camry, the words “safe” and “reliable” and “affordable” probably come to mind. The 2023 Toyota Camry XSE V6 is all those things, too, but it also picks up a word Toyota has struggled with for decades: it’s fun.
That “V6” in the name references this car’s bonkers 3.5-liter V6 engine pushing out 301 horsepower. That’s a lot for a Camry. And all of this power means the XSE V6 can be compelled from zero to 60 in six seconds flat. That’s fast. Maybe not Subaru WRX fast, but faster than you’d expect from the world’s most recognizable family sedan.
The XSE V6 also has a panoramic glass roof with a front moonroof, a 10-inch infotainment screen, and an impressive nine-speaker JBL sound system.
If these moderate but impressive performance features aren’t your cup of tea, you might consider the Camry’s XSE Hybrid trim, which vastly improves fuel efficiency and costs a few thousand dollars less on top of that. If you want a Toyota Camry that behaves more like, well, a Toyota Camry, that might be the top trim.
