What is the Subaru Legacy oil type?
I’m moving cross-country next month and driving all my stuff in my Subaru Legacy. I wanna get a couple of bottles of oil before I hit the road, though. What kind should I buy?

’s oil type will depend on the car’s model year. For instance, the 2013-2021 Subaru Legacies use 0W-20 synthetic oil, while the 2005-2010 Legacies use 5W-30. You’ll also find variations in the oil type depending on engine types—for instance, a Legacy with a 6-cylinder engine might use 5W-30 instead of 0W-20.Your best bet is to check the owner’s manual of your car to verify the exact type of oil needed.
