warranty includes a three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. Let’s explore the warranty in greater detail.
The basic warranty
- Good for three years or 36,000 miles—whichever comes first.
- Covers manufacturing defects and wear items like brake pads, shoe linings, clutch linings, and wiper blades. It does not cover collisions.
The powertrain warranty
- Good for five years or 60,000 miles—whichever comes first.
- Covers your engine, engine block, and more.
You’ll be pleased to know the Subaru warranty is transferable, so long as the warranty term hasn’t expired. You’ll have to contact Subaru customer service to update the details of vehicle ownership.
