What is the South Carolina speed limit?

I’ve lived in Georgia for years, but I’ve never had a chance to explore the neighboring state of South Carolina until now. I have a few speeding tickets, so I’m not looking to get any more on my trip. What is the speed limit in South Carolina?

If you’re going to tour the Palmetto State, take note that the
South Carolina
speed limit is 70 mph maximum. This speed limit only applies to certain stretches of the interstate, so take caution and always look out for posted speed limits.
Depending on where you go in South Carolina, the speed limit will change. If it’s not posted, use these guidelines to ensure you don’t get a ticket:
  • 55 mph to 70 mph on the interstate
  • 55 mph to 65 mph on divided highways
  • 45 mph to 55 mph on undivided highways
  • 20 mph to 30 mph within residential areas or business districts
  • 15 mph to 25 mph in school zones
Even though you’re only driving across state lines, you may want to add
