We generally assume that bigger cars are safer to drive, so it’s reasonable to wonder if

Since 2016, the Mini Hardtop 2 Door has been named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) when equipped with optional front crash prevention.
Active safety features include brakes that automatically ready themselves for an emergency stop, dynamic stability control, head-up display, cornering brake control, adaptive cruise control, a crash sensor system, a rollover protection bar, and an engine immobilizer.
The MINI Hardtop 2 Door also comes with smart airbags. There are eight front, side-impact, ceiling-mounted, side-curtain, and knee airbags that monitor collision severity to adjust inflation rates and help protect you and your passengers with as much force as needed. In extreme cases, they’ll stay inflated longer to keep you safe from shattered glass.
