What is the reckless driving speed in Virginia?

I think I may have been going too fast on the highway, but luckily, I looked at my speedometer before I got caught. Just for future reference, what is the reckless driving speed in Virginia?

Definitely a good thing to be aware of! There are two ways of measuring reckless driving speeds in Virginia. You can be charged with reckless driving for:
  • Going 20 mph over the maximum applicable speed limit
  • Going 85 mph in any situation
If you’re caught speeding excessively, you can be charged with a misdemeanor and have six points added to your license. The violation will stay on your
driving record
for up to 11 years.
With a traffic violation on your record, it can be hard to find affordable insurance. Car insurance super app
Jerry
can find you the best rates from over 50 insurers, no matter how many points are on your record.
Hopefully, that helps you avoid a reckless driving ticket in the future. Stay safe!
