What is the Pennsylvania electric vehicle rebate?

I want to buy an electric car. My friend who lives out of state has one, and he said it’s worth my time to find out more about electric car incentives. Does Pennsylvania have an electric vehicle rebate?

The
Pennsylvania
electric vehicle rebate provides up to $1,750 in incentives for buying a new or used electric vehicle. To get this rebate, you must buy a new electric vehicle (EV) or a one-time pre-owned vehicle with 75,000 or less miles. You must also meet the qualifications as a low-income resident, which is 200% of the federal poverty line or less—a number that changes based on state-compiled income.
If you don’t qualify for this rebate, Pennsylvania has another one you can qualify for. This has no restrictions—the Pennsylvania Alternative Fuel Vehicle Rebate program offers a $750 rebate on a new or used EV.
In all cases, the car must have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $50,000 or less. It can be a new or a used EV with:
  • 75,000 miles or less
  • Only one previous owner
  • Purchased from a registered dealer
