What is the oil type for a 2011 Saab 9-3?

My Saab is my ride or die. I’m planning on driving this baby forever. I want to make sure it’s in the best hands, so I’m going to start changing its oil myself. What kind of oil do I need?

’s oil type is SAE 5W-30 and you’ll need 6.3 quartsof oil to complete an oil change.
We recommend using synthetic oil over conventional oil because:
  • It doesn’t break down and form deposits, making it cleaner.
  • It flows more freely to vital parts of the engine, keeping your engine protected.
  • It’s more stable at high and low temperatures and has better viscosity.
  • It also lasts longer, so you’ll enjoy more time in between oil changes.
That said, always practice caution when performing an oil change. You must have the proper tools and should dispose of the old oil correctly.
