What is the oil type for a 2011 Nissan Versa?

I’ve had my Nissan Versa for years and love not having a car payment, but lately, these oil change charges have started to add up. I may try to do it myself. What oil do I need?

Isn’t saving money the best? A 2011
Nissan Versa
’s oil type is SAE 5W-30. You’ll need 5 quarts of oil to complete a full oil change.
Exercise caution when performing an oil change yourself. You should have the proper tools and must dispose of the old oil correctly.
While it’s a bit more expensive, we recommend you use synthetic oil over conventional oil in your oil change because:
  • Synthetic oil doesn’t break down and form deposits in your engine.
  • Synthetic oil flows more freely to vital parts of the engine.
  • Synthetic oil is more stable at extreme temperatures.
  • Synthetic oil lasts longer, so you’ll have more time in between changes.
