What is the number one most common unsafe driving behavior?

I’m going to have my driving test soon, and I wanted to get some pointers on what the evaluator would dock points for. What is the number one unsafe driving behavior I should avoid?

We wish you the best of luck on your driving test! The number one most common unsafe driving behavior the evaluator will be looking at is speeding, as the risk of death in a traffic collision is doubled for every 10 mph over 50 mph!
However, this isn’t the only risky behavior that will dock you points or get you disqualified. We’ve included a list below for you to keep in mind:
  • Violating the right of way, such as failure to yield, ignoring traffic signals, or ignoring a stop sign can be an instant fail
  • Driving left of center (into the oncoming traffic lane) to pass traffic going in the same direction
  • Improperly turning without signaling or checking blind spots
  • Improperly passing by using the wrong lane or not checking blind spots
  • Tailgating or following the vehicle in front too closely
These behaviors should be avoided at all times when you’re driving to keep yourself, other drivers, and pedestrians safe. Additionally, remember to frequently check your rearview mirrors so that you’re aware of your surroundings at all times.
