What is the New Mexico blood alcohol limit?

My band just got a gig in Albuquerque, so we’re pretty stoked about playing in New Mexico. We typically have a few drinks while we’re at the venue, but we want to make sure we’re still good to drive. What’s the blood alcohol limit in New Mexico?

New Mexico DUI Laws
 are similar to 48 other states around the country. The
New Mexico
 blood alcohol limit is .08, which you can easily reach if you ingest several alcoholic beverages within a short time. The best idea is to find a place to stay close to the venue so you don’t have to drive or choose someone to be the designated driver.
If you’re caught with a blood alcohol level above .08, you can get a DWI, which includes the following penalties:
  • Up to 90 days of jail time
  • Up to $500 in fines not including court costs
  • License suspension of up to one year
  • A mandatory ignition interlock system on your car
