What is the Nebraska speed limit?

I’m going to drive from St. Louis to Denver for the tenth time, but I’m tired of driving through Kansas. As an alternative, I’m going to go drive through Nebraska, I just want to make sure I don’t speed. What’s the speed limit in Nebraska?

If you want a change of scenery on your journey from St. Louis to Denver, the
Nebraska
speed limit is 75 mph, but this is only on stretches away from urban areas. The interstate system through parts of Omaha, Grand Island, and Lincoln have speed limits as low as 55 mph, so take notice as you travel through these areas.
Other speed limits in Nebraska are:
  • 70 mph on state highways unless otherwise posted
  • 55 mph on paved, two-lane highways
  • 50 mph on unpaved roads
  • 25 mph in residential areas
  • 20 mph in business districts and school zones
Although Nebraska will provide some much-needed change of scenery, it’s still remote. Before you leave, use the
