What is the Kentucky blood-alcohol limit?

Will I get a DUI if I take a shot before driving home in Kentucky? I know that one drink won’t make me drunk, but I’m worried about failing a breathalyzer test.

In
Kentucky
, the blood-alcohol content (BAC) limit is 0.08% for all drivers over 21 years of age. If you’re under 21, however, the BAC limit drops to just 0.02%, or the equivalent of a single standard drink.
Of course, it’s best never to drive after drinking. Since a shot is the equivalent of a single drink, however, it probably won’t cause impairment unless you have a smaller body type or are otherwise more sensitive to the effects of alcohol. Just make sure to check in with yourself before getting behind the wheel. If you’re in doubt at all, call a friend or a ride-share—you’ll never regret being extra-safe.
