If you’re worried about rust, the 7-year, unlimited-mile Hyundai anti-perforation warranty can help put your worries to rest. The Hyundai anti-perforation warranty covers perforation (any rust hole through the body panel from inside to outside) and corrosion of the original Hyundai body sheet metal due to defects in material or factory workmanship, or at least under normal use and maintenance.
Keep in mind that this doesn’t cover all types of rust. Surface corrosion and rust are excluded from this warranty, as Hyundai deems this type of rust normal wear and tear.
