The Honda Pilot gets pretty great gas mileage for a full-size SUV. That being said, you can expect a brand new Honda Pilot to have a maximum fuel economy of 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway, or 23 mpg combined. You can do slightly better if you opt for the FWD version over the AWD.
Keep in mind that an SUV is never going to have the gas mileage of a compact sedan or hatchback, but they can’t be beaten in terms of convenience if you have a family or an adventurous lifestyle.
