What is the Honda Accord’s oil type?

I just bought a Honda Accord for my daughter. I told her to let me know when she’s gone 3,000 to 5,000 miles so I can change the oil. What type of oil does the Honda Accord need?

Your daughter must be thrilled with her new car! The type of oil you put in a
Honda Accord
depends on the model year. If you have an Accord manufactured in 2011 or later, Honda recommends 0W-20 motor oil. If your Honda Accord was made prior to 2011, you should use SAE 5W-20 synthetic motor oil.
Once you’re done changing the oil, make sure that you take the old motor oil to a repair shop or recommended disposal business to avoid groundwater contamination.
