Not a bad idea—powertrain warranties are great to have!
The GMC
powertrain warranty covers components of your powertrain, typically for 5 years or 60,000 miles (whichever comes first). Other lengths are available, though. So what’s a powertrain? Here are just some of the components covered in the GMC powertrain warranty:
Engine: Engine block, manifolds, timing gears, cylinder head, oil pump
Drive systems: Constant-velocity joints, universal joints, bearings, axle shafts, propeller shafts
Transmission: Gaskets, case, mounts, seals
The GMC powertrain warranty will not cover wear-and-tear components like your radiator, coolant, or wiring.
