What is the firing order on a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6?

I’ve been getting weird sounds/vibrations from my engine, so I’m worried that maybe the cylinders aren’t firing in sequence. Can you tell me the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 firing order? Hopefully, it will help me figure things out!

As a car owner, it’s awesome when you can diagnose problems all by yourself! Here’s some information about the
2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee
3.6 firing order:
  • Firing order is 1, 8, 4, 3, 6, 5, 7, 2.
  • Cylinders 2, 4, 6, and 8 are front-to-back on the passenger side
  • Cylinders 1, 3, 5, and 7 are front-to-back on the driver side
Of course, many issues can cause your cylinders to fire out of order, many quite serious. Unless you’re sure of the problem, head to a mechanic!
