What is the equivalent of an Indian MCWG driving license in the States?

I just moved to the States from India and was wondering what the equivalent of my Motor Cycles With Gear (MCWG) driving license is here if I want to convert my license?

Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, since there are currently no reciprocity agreements between the United States and India, an Indian driver’s license can’t be exchanged for a U.S. driver’s license and vice versa.
However, if you have a foreign driver’s permit written in English, you can continue using your Motor Cycles With Gear license for up to one year or until the permit expires. Remember to bring both documents with you when you drive!
Once you’ve established residency in the U.S., you will have 30 to 90 days to get your U.S. driver’s license depending on your state. Check with your local DMV office to learn the correct process.
Along with getting a new license, you will need to get insurance for any vehicles you drive.
