The lease on my Honda is around the corner, and I didn’t realize I’d have to pay to turn it back in. What is the disposition fee on a Honda?

Unfortunately, most leasing companies do charge this turn-in fee! The disposition fee on a
Honda
is usually $350. But like most auto financial services, you may be able to get this fee waived if you lease or purchase another Honda within a certain length of time—which varies from dealership to dealership. The reason why leasing companies charge a disposition fee is to pay for the cost of cleaning and repurposing your former leased car so it can be ready to be resold in the future. As your lease comes to an end, you’ll have three options:
- Return your leased Honda and purchase or lease a new Honda
- Purchase your current Honda
- Return your leased Honda
If you do plan to return your leased Honda, make sure to schedule an end-of-lease vehicle inspection online through your Honda Financial Services account or call 1-800-340-4080. You can also contact Honda Financial Services to find out the next steps if you would like to purchase your leased Honda.
