What is the difference between a warranty and maintenance?

I've heard the words warranty and maintenance thrown around regularly. What's the difference between the two?

Good question! The major difference between maintenance and a
warranty
is that maintenance is routine service done to your car that typically comes out of your pocket. A warranty is a guarantee to fix your vehicle if something catastrophic happens, or if the car doesn’t run up to its full potential.
This warranty doesn’t usually cover routine maintenance, but provides coverage for repairs to your powertrain or bumper-to-bumper coverage for a certain amount of years or miles.
Warranties also don’t come with a set schedule while
basic maintenance schedules
are required to keep your car in its best condition.
If you’re looking into getting a warranty, you should make sure to get the best possible deal on the policy. To do this easily, check out the
