My family and I recently moved from Utah to Vermont, and we’re getting up to speed on the driving laws for my youngest son, who just got his license. We were very strict about his older brother’s driving curfew back in Utah. What is the curfew for teen drivers in Vermont?

.That’s right—Vermont is one of the few states that doesn’t enforce a nighttime driving curfew for new drivers. However, there are a few other restrictions your teen driver will have to follow while carrying a junior license:
- No passengers in the first three months unless there is a licensed and unimpaired parent/guardian, driving instructor, or adult age 25 or older present
- No passengers besides immediate family in the second three months unless one of the previously listed individuals is present
- New drivers may not operate a vehicle for hire or other purposes of employment in the first year of their junior driver’s license
