The curfew for teen drivers in
Utah
is midnight. More specifically, drivers between the ages of 15 and 17 years old may not operate a vehicle between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.But just like most rules, this one has a few exceptions. Your teen driver is allowed to operate a vehicle between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. under the following circumstances:
- There is a licensed driver at least 21 years old in the vehicle
- The driving is for employment purposes, including the drive to and from work
- The driver is going directly home from a school-sponsored activity
- The driver is operating a vehicle for agricultural work on a farm or ranch
- There is an emergency
