What is the curfew for teen drivers in Rhode Island?

I am 17 and just got my driver’s license. I work a summer job at a restaurant in Newport, and I’m nervous that I could violate a statewide curfew if I drive home after a night shift. When is the curfew for teen drivers in Rhode Island?

Good for you for getting your driver’s license! The curfew for teen drivers in
Rhode Island
is between the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. until turning age 18.
The driving curfew stems from the state’s Graduated Drivers Licensing (GDL) policy, which requires minor
teen drivers
to first hold a
provisional driver’s license
. In addition to following a curfew, a provisional license restricts young drivers from having more than one passenger in the vehicle for one year. This does not apply, however, to new drivers 21 and up.
Such restrictions were put in place in Rhode Island to keep the roads safe. Another way to stay protected is by purchasing a quality
car insurance
policy. If you’re looking for great coverage without breaking the bank, look no further than
