What is the curfew for teen drivers in Massachusetts?

I live in Boston with my family and my son is about ready to get his license. However, I’m not exactly keen on him driving around Boston on his own, especially at night. Does Massachusetts have a curfew for teen drivers?

The curfew for teen drivers under the age of 18 in
Massachusetts
is from midnight to 5 a.m. In addition, Massachusetts law says
teen drivers
cannot have any passengers in the car under 18 for the first six months they have their
Massachusetts provisional license
.
Police officers are trained to strictly enforce both curfew and passenger laws—especially between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. and again between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Whether you're driving in broad daylight or at night, it's always important to make sure your car is equipped with the
state minimum insurance
