What is the driving curfew for minors in California?

I know that minors always get a restricted license in California, but what are the curfew hours for driving? I’m just wondering when I should try not to drive.

The driving curfew for minors in
California
prevents you from driving between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for the first 12 months of having your license.
You also won’t be allowed to drive with anyone under 20 in the car unless there’s a licensed driver who is 25 or older in the car with you both.
Keep in mind: If you’re caught driving outside of curfew, there are consequences, such as the following:
  • You could be ticketed.
  • You could have your license suspended or revoked.
For these reasons, it’s best to only drive within the allowed time.
