What is the cost to tint car windows?
I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to tint my car windows. It feels more private, and it helps block out some sun, which would make my car way cooler in the summer. How much would this cost me?

Tinting your windows will give you more shade and privacy, that’s for sure. The type of car you drive and the type of tint you choose will both influence the cost of tinting car windows. Labor will vary from shop to shop, as well.
If you drive a seven-window sedan (two front, two rear, a back windshield, and two quarter windows in the back seat), you’ll probably pay around $50 to $100 per window, bringing your grand total to somewhere between $350 and $700. If you drive a two-door coupe, though, the cost will likely be closer to $120 to $450.
Larger vehicles can cost a bit more—but not much! SUVs have larger windows, making the average price for tinting a little higher at $400 to $750. As for trucks, you’ll probably be closer to the $400 range, as well (although tinting sliding windows can raise the price a bit as they are more complicated).
Overall, tinting prices vary a lot, and you’ll probably want to discuss pricing with the shop you choose before going in. Also, get quotes from several window tinting companies! That way, you can find the best price available.
