What is the Chevrolet Volt warranty?

In the past year, I’ve really wanted to buy an electric vehicle. However, most of them are prohibitively expensive, so I’m opting for a plug-in hybrid. A used Chevrolet Volt seems like a great buy, but I want to make sure it’s covered under warranty. What’s the warranty on the Chevrolet Volt?

Produced from 2011 to 2019, the
Chevrolet Volt
was one of the first plug-in hybrid cars that were affordable to the masses. All model years of the Chevy Volt come with a 5-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty and a 3-year, 36,000-mile basic warranty—or whichever comes first.
Due to the length of the warranty, the model you buy would need to be a 2017 model at the least to take advantage of the powertrain warranty. Thankfully, most Volts are still under warranty for the hybrid battery due to the 8-year, 100,000-mile hybrid battery warranty.
