Mazda 3
, which starts at $21,815.The Mazda 3 is available as a compact sedan or hatchback that comes in eight trims: 2.0 S, 2.5 S, Select, Preferred, Carbon Edition, Premium, Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.
The interior is simple and comfortable, but the higher you go up the trim ladder, the more upscale it becomes. For example, the Preferred trim comes with a power-sliding glass moonroof while the Carbon Edition is equipped with stunning red leather-trimmed seats.
All models come standard with an 8.8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You have the option to add a 12-speaker Bose audio system and SiriusXM radio for an added fee, too.
The Mazda 3 offers three different four-cylinder engines. The base model features a 155-horsepower 2.0-liter engine and front-wheel-drive powertrain. If you’re looking for a little extra pep in your step, move up to the 186-horsepower 2.5-liter engine or go all the way with the 250-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter, which will have you soaring from zero to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds.
Mazda does safety right with a five-star rating from NHTSA thanks to their i-Activsense safety package. All 3 models come standard with smart brake support, forward collision warning, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go technology.
