What is the cheapest Hyundai?

I’ve been thinking about getting a new car for a long time now. I spent my 20s driving 20-year-old cars, but now that I’m 30, it’s high time I got myself a real adult car. I’ve heard that Hyundais offer high value at low prices, and I’m not really looking for anything fancy. What’s the cheapest Hyundai model you can get?

With an especially low MSRP of $16,645, the cheapest Hyundai is the
Hyundai Accent
. It boasts great fuel economy and features an intuitive 5-inch infotainment system and backup camera.
Here’s a quick look at the pricing and features of the Accent’s three available trims:
  • The SE is the base trim and includes steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, 60/40 split-folding back seats, an engine immobilizer anti-theft system, and a 6-speed manual transmission. A CVT automatic transmission is an optional upgrade.
  • The SEL costs about $1,200 more than the SE, with a starting price of $17,900. On this trim, you get the CVT automatic transmission, a bigger infotainment system, upgraded alloy wheels, fog lights, and heated, body-color mirrors.
  • The Limited trim bumps the starting price up to $19,600 and includes the CVT automatic transmission, 17-inch alloy wheels, a hands-free smart trunk release, forward-collision avoidance assist, and LED exterior lighting.
If you find yourself deciding to spring for extra options now that you’ve realized just how ridiculously affordable Hyundais are, then you should keep in mind that the Hyundai Venue compact SUV starts at just $18,900 and the bigger Elantra sedan starts at $19,850.
