The
Tesla Model S
has impressive amounts of cargo space when compared to other battery-powered cars. This is, in part, due to the front trunk—or “frunk”—which provides additional storage to drivers.It’s also because the Model S is technically a hatchback—not a four-door sedan—meaning there’s lots of rear cargo space.
When it comes to cargo space, here are the measurements you need to know:
- Rear trunk cargo space: 28 cubic feet
- Rear trunk cargo space with rear seats folded down: 53 cubic feet
- Front trunk cargo space: 5 cubic feet
- Total cargo space: 58 cubic feet.
For reference, a standard carry-on suitcase measures at about 3 cubic feet—meaning you can fit up to 19 of them in your Model S depending on their shape (and how good you are at playing Tetris).
