I’m comparing different automakers to get the best deal for a new car. Warranties are always high on my priority list, so I’m just trying to figure out what Hyundai has to offer. What’s the basic warranty on a new Hyundai vehicle?

The bumper-to-bumper warranty from Hyundai—also known as the basic warranty—covers your car from manufacturer defects for up to 5 years or 60,000 miles—whichever comes first. This includes almost every part of your car, although some components have slightly shorter warranty periods. Other parts covered under this warranty include:
- Radio and audio systems: 3-year, 36,000-mile
- Paint: 3-year, 36,000-mile
- Battery: 3-year, 36,000-mile
- AC refrigerant: 1-year, 12,000 mile
Keep in mind that this warranty does not cover general maintenance or wear and tear.
