I love the functionality of Toyota trucks and I’m in the market for a used one. I’ve narrowed down my choices to the Toyota Tundra, but I’m trying to figure out what exact model to buy. What is the best year for a used Toyota Tundra?

Toyota Tundra
consistently gets reliable safety reports and driver satisfaction reviews, but to answer your question, the best years for the Tundra are 2008, 2016, 2018.Each of these years received 5/5 reliability ratings from Consumer Reports, which goes on to note that the 2010 and 2011 models are great if your budget is between $10,000 and $15,000. If your budget is higher, spring for a 2013 to 2016 model.
While the Tundra might not be the most stylish full-sized pickup on the market, you’ll get the dependability of the Toyota brand in a no-nonsense truck body. It’s really hard to go wrong when picking a used Tundra, so let your budget be your guide.
That being said, there are only a few model years you should avoid. The 2007 gets a below-average 3/5 reliability ranking, most likely due to engine and transmission problems. The 2012 Tundra might be the worst—it’s got some of the highest repair costs (concerning the engine, transmission, electrical systems, and the air induction pump).
