What is the best year for a used Ford Escape
My wife and I have agreed to buy each of our children their first car for their 17th birthdays—however, for budget purposes, we want to purchase a used vehicle. I’ve heard the Ford Escape is quite reliable, and we think it’s a good size vehicle for a teenager. What’s the best model year to look at if I want a used version?

Because this small SUV is so great, it’s difficult to choose just one “best” model year—but, if hard pressed, we’d probably say that the 2010 model is top-notch.
This car has performed exceptionally well in crash tests, offers exceptional performance, and has several unique and cutting-edge technological features. It also has an overall rating of 7.6 out of 10 on cars.usnews.com, placing it at No. 16 in the inexpensive compact SUV category for 2010.
However, other great options are the 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2019 model years—giving you lots of options when you head off to your local used car lot!
