What is the best time to visit Big Sur?
My boyfriend and I have been talking about visiting Big Sur for ages, so I want to plan a road trip to surprise him. When should I plan to go to make sure we get the best weather?

That’s such a sweet and thoughtful surprise! The best time to visit Big Sur,
California
is September through October. The weather is good in Big Sur starting in April, but there will be fewer people in the park after schools start up again in the fall.Keep in mind that you probably won’t see as many wildflowers by visiting the park later in the year. Big Sur starts to see slight drops in temperature starting in late August, which is great for preventing coastal fog but not as great for the wildflower population. If you’re particularly interested in the flora at Big Sur, it might be better for you to visit in the spring.
