Salt Lake City
will take you on the following roads:- Start by getting on I-15 N
- Follow I-15 N to US-20 E in Idaho Falls (take exit 119)
- Follow US-20 E to reach the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park
Be prepared for some of your route to involve toll roads. The route through Idaho is the fastest at approximately five hours. If you prefer to drive to the South Entrance in Wyoming, you’ll be on the road for at least six and a half hours.
Whichever route you take, make sure you and your partner plan for breaks along the way! Here are a few places you can find relatively close to the route up to Yellowstone National Park:
- Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center
- Grand Prismatic Spring
- Norris Geyser Basin
- Lagoon Amusement Park
- Lava Hot Springs Foundation World Famous Hot Springs
