What is the best route from Salt Lake City to Grand Teton?

I’m a big fan of national parks and a friend told me I should check out Grand Teton. I only have about a week and a half of vacation, and I’d like to spend it exploring the park. Which is the best and fastest route from Salt Lake City to Grand Teton?

Grand Teton is a beautiful area that’s often overlooked because of its proximity to the Grand Canyon, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less worth the visit. Luckily for anyone leaving from
Salt Lake City
Highway 15 takes you half the way there. That said, here are two of the best routes you can take from Salt Lake City to Grand Teton:
Highway 15 to 26: The city trail
Driving to Grand Teton from Salt Lake City only takes about 5 hours on this route, and the drive is fairly manageable. The roads are straight and paved along the entire route, so the drive is smooth and easy (though it is a bit longer than other routes).
  1. Hop on Highway 15
  2. Continue for 215 miles
  3. Merge onto Highway 26
  4. Continue on Highway 26 until you reach Grand Teton
Highway 15 to 30: The lake trail
The road from Salt Lake City to Grand Teton takes about 4 hours and 45 minutes on Highway 15 to 30, and the views are spectacular. Along the way, you’ll drive along the Blackfoot Palisades Reservoirs. Of course, the roads are a little more twisted and challenging, so it may not be ideal for
