The best route from Las Vegas to New York follows I-15 N, I-70 E, I-76 E, and I-80 E, but you’ll need more than a week to spend adequate time in the city! It takes almost 40 hours—and that doesn’t count time spent resting in between driving, visiting cool places along the way, eating, etc.
As such it’s best to plan for five to six days of driving each way when you take this road trip. This will afford you more time in the places you visit, while still covering six to eight hours worth of driving each day.
