What is the best minivan for snow?

I need a big vehicle to accommodate my family and our luggage for visiting my parents during the winter break. I’m thinking a minivan might be best. What’s the best model to get for winter driving?

You’ll only have a few options to choose from if you’re set on getting a minivan—they’re a bit of a dying breed! The
Chrysler Pacifica
or the **
Toyota Sienna
are your best bets for driving in the snow, as they’re the only minivans to offer all-wheel drive.
Here are some more details to help you decide which minivan might be for you!
  • 2023 Toyota Sienna (MSRP $35,775): 243-hp hybrid engine, standard and optional driver-assistance features, 34 cubic feet in the cargo area, 3500-lb towing capacity
  • 2023 Chrysler Pacifica (MSRP $38,590): 287-hp V-6 engine, available as a plug-in hybrid, seats seven, Stow ‘N Go seating, 32 cubic feet in the cargo area, 3600-lb towing capacity
Even if you go with a minivan that doesn’t have all-wheel drive, you can stay safe driving in the snow by adding snow tires or snow chains to help gain more traction.
