What is the best driving route from Glacier to Yellowstone?

My partner and I want to hit up a bunch of national parks and we just need to fill some gaps in our trip plans. What is the best way to drive from Glacier National Park to Yellowstone National Park?

The world could be a much happier place if we all did some national park hopping! The best driving route from Glacier to Yellowstone primarily follows US-287 S through
Montana
and takes between 6 and 7 hours. Here are the route details:
  • Make your way to US-89 S on the east side of the park to get out of Glacier.
  • Take the transfer to US-287 S in Choteau.
  • Continue along US-287 S by way of I-15 S then get onto I-90 E.
  • Take the exit to return to US-89 S and take this into Yellowstone!
It’s not a particularly long drive, but you will spend a lot of time in less-populated areas. Add
towing and labor coverage
to your
car insurance
policy for extra peace of mind.
