What is the 2023 Honda Accord release date?
So my husband’s been driving the same Honda Accord since the Clinton Administration. That ‘96 silver 4-door is the apple of his eye, but it leaks oil, the windows don’t open, and he's had trouble shifting into 3rd gear since before our oldest was born. I want to surprise him with a new car for his birthday in November—what is the 2023 Honda Accord release date?

There actually is no 2023
Honda Accord
, as Honda will unveil a refreshed Accord for 2024, set for release near the end of 2022 or early 2023.We don’t know a ton about what the 2024 Accord will be like, or whether it will be able to steal your husband’s heart away from his longtime flame (no offense).
But we do know this is slated as a full refresh, with an exterior overhaul, new interiors, new engines, and, according to Car & Driver Magazine, at least one hybrid option available.
The Accord will likely stick with the same trims it currently has—the LX, Sport, EX-L, and Touring. The higher trims will likely feature leather upholstery, heated and cooled seats, a premium sound system, and the latest tech, including likely wireless smartphone integration and charging.
In terms of the power plants the ‘24 Accord will likely rock, word on the street is the engines will resemble the following:
Lower trims: 1.5 L 4 cylinder engine, 192 horsepower with continuously variable transmission (CVT)
Higher trims: 2.0 L turbocharged 4 cylinder engine, 252 horsepower
Hybrid: 2.0 L engine with two electric motors, combining for 212 horsepower
Bottom line: There probably won’t be a new Accord released in time for your husband’s November birthday this year. But by early 2023, you should be able to swap his old Accord with a new, futuristic version! He sounds pretty attached though, so we recommend making sure he’s on board before you trade in his clunker.
